About Ten Bad Pages
Ten bad pages beat no pages. That is the name and it is also the argument.
Finishing is a different skill from writing well, and almost nobody teaches it. Plenty of people can write a good paragraph. Far fewer can get to the end of a draft. The people who finish are not the most talented ones — they are the ones who learned to keep going while the work was bad.
Who it's for
Adults with a draft they cannot finish. People with a folder of openings, who rewrite chapter one instead of writing chapter twelve, who have tried a challenge month and stopped on day nine. Writing around a job, not in an MFA.
What we write
Three things. Finishing, which is the promise in the name. Craft, taught through close reading of things you have actually seen. And AI, used honestly — what it is genuinely good at in a draft, where it is confidently wrong, and a worked example on a real bad chapter with everything it missed marked up.
How it pays for itself
Every article is free. Some links are affiliate links, which we disclose plainly. And we sell our own programs for the two hard parts: finishing the draft, and editing it afterwards.
